This is the most common type of work permit issued for a specific period of time to work at a specific workplace or business.

A temporary work permit is issued for a period of up to 1 year to work at a specific workplace or in a specific profession, depending on the labor market situation, sectoral developments, and employment conditions.
Important: If the employee continues to work for the same employer, the permit may be granted for a maximum of 2 years for the first extension and a maximum of 3 years for subsequent extensions.
Application Methods
Application from Abroad
The foreign national applies to the Turkish Consulate in their home country. The employer in Turkey then submits the application to the Ministry using the 16-digit reference number provided.
Domestic Applications
For foreign nationals with a residence permit valid for at least 6 months, the employer can submit an application directly through the Ministry's system.
