Permanent Work Permit
It is the right to work, granted to foreigners who have been residing in Turkey for a long time or who are legally employed there, with no time limit.
Application Requirements
To obtain an indefinite work permit, you must meet at least one of them of the following requirements:
Long-Term Residence
Foreign nationals in Turkey who hold a "Long-Term Residence Permit."
8 Years of Legal Employment
Foreign nationals who have worked continuously in Turkey for at least 8 years with a valid work permit.
Rights Granted
- The right to work without any time limit.
- The freedom to work independently or for an employer.
- Access to the many social benefits granted to Turkish citizens.
- Equal status with citizens, except for the rights to vote, be elected, and hold public office.

No, the time spent pursuing education is not counted toward the 8-year period required for a permanent work permit.
The visa may be revoked if the holder remains outside Turkey continuously for more than one year (except for health, education, or mandatory public service).
