What determines the duration?
A foreign national who departs voluntarily and pays the fine is not subject to the same time limits as a foreign national who is removed following an arrest. The same period of violation may have different consequences depending on the method of departure.
Payment of the fine does not automatically lift the entry ban; the duration of the violation, the violation code, and other records in the file are also taken into account.
Restriction code
