Title-Based Multiplier Rule

SHORT ANSWER
When applying for a work permit, the salary is evaluated using coefficients determined based on the position and profession. This tool calculates the statutory minimum gross salary that must be paid based on the job title.
Coefficients by Title
Under the current criteria, the gross minimum wage is multiplied by 5 for senior executives and pilots, by 4 for engineers and architects, and by 3 for other executives; lower multipliers are applied for jobs requiring specialized expertise or skilled craftsmanship.
The salary criterion is separate from the employment and financial eligibility criteria. Meeting one of these criteria does not mean that the others are not required.
Social Security contributions and fees are separate line items
Social Security contributions and the work permit fee are separate obligations. Failure to pay the fee and the stamp duty on time will result in the rejection of the application.
Once a work permit has been approved, registration with the Social Security Institution (SGK) must be completed within one month of the permit’s effective date for permits obtained within Turkey.
