Selection: Special Date

The default is today. The coefficients are applied based on data finalized as of this date.

Who can request a lump-sum premium payment from the SGK?

The official name of this process is It is a lump-sum payment for old age. Having worked in Turkey or leaving the country does not mean that your contributions will be refunded immediately. The SGK considers the following conditions together:

  1. You must be done with your work. If you were employed by an employer, you must have left your job; if you were self-employed, you must have closed your business.
  2. You must have reached the required age. Age may vary depending on the date you first became insured and the rules that apply to you.
  3. You should not be entitled to a retirement pension or a disability pension based on your health condition from the SGK. It’s not enough to simply not want to retire.
  4. You should submit an application to the SGK. Using this calculator does not constitute an official application.

Brief information about age: The SGK’s statement on lump-sum old-age payments specifies 58 years for women and 60 years for men. For those who first became insured after 2008, the retirement age in the standard 4/a retirement table may vary gradually between 58–65 for women and 60–65 for men, depending on the year in which the relevant contribution requirement was met. Different rules may apply for earlier insurance start dates. These numbers do not represent your exact application age; check with the Social Security Institution (SGK) to determine your personal application age.

Being a foreign national, the expiration of a work permit, leaving Turkey, or having worked in Turkey for 3, 5, 7, 10, or 15 years does not, in and of itself, entitle one to payment. If you have worked in other countries, social security agreements may also affect your situation.

If you believe you meet these requirements, you can apply to the SGK. The SGK will decide whether to approve your application and determine the amount to be paid.

If you do not have access to the e-Government portal, you can submit an application to the relevant SGK provincial directorate.

Your responses are for informational purposes only; they do not change the account balance and do not imply that you are entitled to a payment.

1. Has your insured employment in Turkey ended?

2. Have you reached the retirement age set by the SGK for you?

The ages listed above for women and men are not set in stone for everyone. The date you first became insured may be important. If you don't know, select "I'm not sure."

3. Are you eligible to receive a retirement pension or a disability pension from the SGK?

Disability pension, This is a benefit that the Social Security Institution (SGK) may grant after reviewing your health condition and other legal requirements. Not everyone with a medical condition receives this benefit. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, select "I'm not sure."

This calculation is an approximate estimate provided for informational purposes only. You cannot receive a refund of your contributions solely because you are a foreign national or because you have left Turkey. The Social Security Institution (SGK) determines the application requirements and the exact payment amount. The Migration Administration does not calculate premium refunds. For services paid in a lump sum to be considered again in the future, a reinstatement process (paying the updated amount to have these services counted again) may be required.

Example: A 4/a employee reported with 30 days per month and the gross minimum wage for the period from October 1, 2016, to August 31, 2026 (119 months). Please also verify whether the August 2026 report appears in your actual service record. This example is not the same as the “10 years” shortcut. The calculation is performed in your browser; your information is not sent to the server. Atasa Danışmanlık is not a public institution.
