Required Documents for Electricity Service Subscription for Foreign Nationals

(These conditions apply to Istanbul Province.)

Foreign nationals applying for an electricity service account must submit the following documents in their entirety:

• Account or Meter Number: You must include the account number or meter number listed on your previous bill.
• Proof of Residence: You must obtain proof of residence for the address where the new subscription will be established through the e-Government portal. If your residential address is not registered in the system, the subscription process cannot be completed. This document is required.
• Earthquake Insurance (DASK): A valid DASK policy must be in place for the residence to be insured. If the insurance has expired, it must be renewed.
• Lease Agreement or Property Deed: If you are a tenant: A current lease agreement is required. If you are a landlord: A photocopy of the property deed must be provided.
• Identification / Residence Document: A valid foreign ID card, work permit, or residence permit is required.

Important Note: If you do not have a registered address at the same location, you cannot transfer the electricity account into your name, and the account transfer process cannot be completed. Foreigners who are property owners—that is, titleholders—are not required to provide a certificate of residence.

Please note: All subscription applications from foreign nationals must be submitted only through the branch offices to which they are affiliated.
