Provincial and district immigration directorates handle the appointment and document submission steps for foreign nationals’ residence permit applications. The application itself is submitted online through the e-ikamet system; the documents prepared for the appointment are submitted to the directorate on the day of the appointment.

Which office handles which procedure is determined based on your residential address. In areas with a district office, your application is generally forwarded to the district office; in areas without one, it is forwarded to the provincial office.

Appointments are scheduled at e-ikamet.gov.tr. The system automatically determines the appropriate office and date based on your application type and address; you cannot manually select the office.

Print out the appointment confirmation and bring it with you. Since the operating schedule may change due to high volume, renovations, or relocation, it is recommended that you confirm the current status with the office before heading out.
